Casey Whitmarsh
SFCC Chairman

It is an honor and privilege to serve as the Chair of the Board for the Chamber. I have previously served on a few committees, been the liaison to the Federation of Homeowner Association and done my best to represent the Chamber at community events. I accepted this leadership position to continue my community involvement.

I am very excited with the direction the Chamber has recently taken. We are a virtual Chamber and through the first half of 2020, we have been working hard to develop the virtual aspect of our role in the community. Little did we know that those efforts would come at the perfect time. The silver lining of the COVID crisis is that it made our role to serve virtually more relevant to fill the needs of our members, future members and community alike.

You’ve been receiving our communications highlighting our new membership offerings. This is just the start! There is so much more to do. No ONE person can do it all! I encourage you to not only look over our new offerings for Legacy members such as yourself, but see where you can get involved with the Chamber as we seek to be a partner with our member businesses as well as the Lorton/Fairfax community.

The legacy I would like to leave is that of growth, development and participation. Please join me in continuing to strive to ensure future prosperity in a pro-business climate here in the southern part of Fairfax County. As the old adage goes, “It takes a village to raise a child!” We, at SFCC, aspire to be a voice to speak for, an ear to listen with and the helping hand to take South Fairfax to new heights. I look forward to working with all of you so we all have continued success through the Chamber.
