SFCC Newsletter / October 2020 Chairman's Note ![]() Casey Whitmarsh
It has been a busy fall so far here at the Chamber! We kicked off the fourth quarter of 2020 with an informative webinar session on navigating Paycheck Protection Program Loan forgiveness. Really good discussion featuring the Small Business Administration's Roderick Johnson who was joined by SFCC Board members Joe English and Tom Repczynski.
I can't thank our three panelists enough for cutting through some of the confusion surrounding this ever-changing program. The questions asked and answered really helped those in attendance understand the PPP and loan forgiveness requirements.
In continuing our dedication to providing our members with the latest information available on topical subjects, our next webinar will focus on how Medicare works and what it covers. SFFC member Mary Crispino of HealthMarkets will present "Medicare 101" on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 11am-12pm. See below for the registration link.
In November, we will be hosting a Learning Virtually Town Hall for the community. Invited guests so far include Fairfax County School Board member Karen Corbett Sanders and South County High School Principal Gary Morris. We are still finalizing the line up but we are confident the discussion will be informational and timely. Be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 18 at 7pm.
