As we head into December and we begin to wrap up 2021, I'd like to take a moment to reflect on all the Chamber has been able to accomplish this year. Despite the lingering effects and concerns over Covid, the Chamber has been able to continue offering our members in-person networking opportunities through our recent S.T.I.R. events. We also offered well attended informative virtual events such as our day-long Business Summit last spring. Our Events Committee chaired by Denis Bayliss is already working on January's S.T.I.R. event and they hope to kick off our 'Meet the Chief' series in early 2022.

We were able to expand our membership and welcome many new Sustaining Members in 2021 and that allowed us to continue offering social media support to our membership. We were able to grow our audience across all of our platforms and that benefitted many members who needed the additional digital marketing support. Legacy Members who would like to take advantage of our growing social media reach can upgrade to a Sustaining Membership January 1 - February 15 and receive a month of Bonus Digital Marketing. Contact Executive Director Carla Olivo at execdirector@southfairfaxchamber.org for more information.

The increase in Sustaining Memberships in 2021 also allowed the Chamber to continue being a good community partner. Whether supporting the Teen Job Fair last spring, assisting a new member with a grand opening, collecting donations on behalf of a non-profit member or participating in community events such as the Lorton Fall Festival, the Chamber was out and about in Lorton. We are currently finalizing our full page ad in the South County High School Athletic Boosters' Winter Sports Program. If you'd like to support the school and add your logo to the ad, email Executive Director Carla Olivo at ExecDirector@SouthFairfaxChamber.org.

This weekend the Chamber will be at the 16th Annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza & Craft Show at South County High School. Stop by the Chamber booth between 9a-3p and bring Individually wrapped kids' snack packs & 100% juice boxes to donate to the LCAC pantry.

I hope you are able to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the season to spend time with family and friends.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays,
