SFCC Newsletter March 2022 Chairman's Note Casey Whitmarsh
It's been a busy month here at the Chamber. We've had several presentations and meetings over the last few weeks with interested potential Chamber members. There has been so much interest that we have extended the Business Showcase Special for new members and Legacy members who choose to upgrade.
It has been my pleasure to brag a bit about how far the Chamber has come. I love nothing more than to speak with a prospective new member about all the benefits that come with a Chamber membership. I'm always amazed at the variety of reasons business owners have for joining the Chamber or upgrading their membership.
Many want to focus on their online presence or give their social media a boost, while others benefit from the Mobile App which allows them to share their business via a texting keyword. The landing page which comes with every membership whether its a Premier level membership or a Business level membership allows members to share information about their business or use the landing page to direct potential customers to an already existing website. And many potential members embrace the opportunity to network with each other through our popular S.T.I.R. events.
I urge all Legacy members to consider upgrading to an annual Sustaining Membership. The annual dues model gives the Chamber the flexibility to provide those membership benefits we all cherish as well as the ROI all members look for when they join the Chamber.
Our Executive Director Carla Olivo would be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have about upgrading your Chamber membership. She can be reached at ExecDirector@southfairfaxchamber.org.
If you haven't signed up yet for our next networking event, please see the link below. This month we will be meeting on Tuesday, March 22 at the newly opened Hometown Grill in Lorton Station. Big thanks to Mary Crispino of Health Markets for sponsoring this month's get together. I hope you will come by to meet the Chamber Board as well as to socialize, thrive, interact and reconnect (S.T.I.R.).
Hope to see you all on the 22nd, Casey Whitmarsh

Next month more than 80 vendors will have their handcrafted wares up for sale and Potomac Music will anchor the kids' area with an instrument petting zoo. Author Margaret Montavon will host a reading of her newly-released kids' book 'Freckle Face From Outer Space' and SCHS Theatre Boosters will have face painting. Admission and parking are FREE. Stop by for some Mother's Day shopping and enjoy lunch at the invited food trucks. Proceeds benefit the South County PTSO and the Class of 2022.
