The fourth quarter has been a busy one here at the Chamber. As your Chamber Chair, I am very proud of the successful events we've been able to pull off to end this year on a high note. Our Networking Open House at Premier Sustaining Member Trademasters in September was our most attended event of the year by non-members. It was a great opportunity to show potential members the value of a Chamber membership.
Last month, we hosted a very successful Salute to Service Networking S.T.I.R and a clothing drive benefitting military veterans. And to end the end year, we sponsored the Vendor Appreciation Breakfast at the 17th Annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza. It was a great opportunity to introduce the Chamber to 180 small business owners. At the same event, we hosted a blood drive on behalf of Premier Sustaining Member Inova Blood Services. It was wonderful to have the support of the community to help the local blood supply which had been critically low coming into the holiday season.

Your Chamber Board is already busy planning activities and events for 2023. Early next year you will receive a survey asking for your thoughts on what you want from the Chamber. While the local community has enthusiastically embraced the Chamber's charitable works, garnering participation from the membership has at times been challenging. To continue planning and hosting networking opportunities, educational webinars, and guest speakers, we need membership support. The survey will help us to determine the best way to give you what you are looking for from your Chamber membership.
I hope you will join us for a casual, fun evening of tailgating and networking next Monday, December 12 at Hometown Grill. Take a break from the holiday hustle and bustle, and come on out to watch some football and connect with your fellow Chamber members. From my home to yours, I wish you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, Casey Whitmarsh SFCC Chair Casey@CaseyWhitmarsh.com |
