As we enter the fourth quarter, it's a good time to reflect on all we've accomplished this year and focus on making the final months of 2024 as productive as possible. Like many, the Chamber has felt the impact of inflation, prompting us to explore additional revenue streams. Our Executive Director, Carla Olivo, has been innovative in creating marketing opportunities for our members while generating much-needed funds for the Chamber. I encourage you to explore our current initiatives and see how you can take advantage of the brand awareness opportunities available.
One exciting option is our upcoming Salute to Service Networking STIR next month. This year, in addition to honoring our military and veteran community, we are also recognizing military children — a group of unsung heroes who make sacrifices when their parents serve our country. Sponsorships for this special event at Laurel Hill Golf are only $250, and the pre- and post-event publicity makes it an incredible value.

You also have the opportunity to promote your business by sponsoring a festive, themed tree at the 19th annual Lorton Holiday Extravaganza! This is the largest holiday event in South Fairfax, providing a fantastic opportunity to showcase your business to the community.
You can choose to decorate your 3-foot tree in a theme that represents your business such as travel or real estate, or we can handle the decorating for you. All tree sponsors will have their business information and promotional items displayed at the Chamber’s booth during the event attended by more than 3,000 people! To reserve your tree or learn more, email SFCCExecDirector@gmail.com.
Additionally, take advantage of another great marketing opportunity: purchase logo space on the Chamber’s full-page ad in the South County Athletic Booster Sports Program. This four-color glossy program reaches thousands of Fairfax County residents who attend SCHS sporting events year-round. Don’t miss this chance to get your business noticed at an affordable price—space is limited, so act fast!
Remember, the true value of your Chamber membership comes from active participation. The more you engage with these opportunities, the greater your return on investment. Please consider how you can contribute to the Chamber’s efforts, allowing us to continue providing the support and resources that help your business succeed. Hope to see everyone at our next STIR on Oct 17 at Bunnyman Brewery at the Workhouse!
