As Chair of the South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your membership and your continued support. Your dedication and engagement are the heartbeat of our organization, and your contributions to our community’s growth and prosperity are truly invaluable.
The support we receive from each of you fuels our collective mission. Through networking events, community activities, and collaborative projects, we’re able to foster connections that help our businesses and our community thrive. Networking is one of the most powerful benefits our Chamber offers. When we come together, share insights, and support one another, we create opportunities for growth and innovation that wouldn’t be possible otherwise. I encourage all members to take full advantage of these networking opportunities to build meaningful connections and expand your business's reach.

Sponsoring Chamber events is another fantastic way to elevate your business and increase visibility. Sponsors not only gain exposure but also make a direct impact by supporting the programming and resources that benefit us all. It's a win-win – promoting your brand while helping our Chamber achieve its goals. We are thankful for those member businesses that have supported the Chamber through sponsoring a networking STIR, sponsoring a themed holiday tree in support of the SFCC's efforts to support the Lorton Holiday Extravaganza and 190 small business owners and supporting our ads in the South County Athletic Boosters' Sports Programs with the purchase of logo space.
I hope to see all of you at our upcoming Salute to Service Networking STIR on November 13. We are excited to host and recognize our local military kids — a group of unsung heroes who make sacrifices when their parents serve our country. Thank you to Mary Crispino of HealthMarkets and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority who join me in sponsoring this fantastic event. Please show your support by planning to attend.
Getting to know your fellow Chamber members and actively participating in Chamber activities is key to maximizing the return on your investment (ROI). The more involved you are, the more you’ll see the benefits flow back to your business. I encourage everyone to attend events such as the Lorton Medical Spa ribbon cutting this Thursday, the 1-year anniversary celebration for Petite Smiles on Friday and the Salute to Service for our military community next week. Get to know your fellow members and explore sponsorship opportunities. Active participation is what makes our Chamber vibrant and impactful.
Thank you once again for being part of this incredible community. Together, we’re making a real difference, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact of our shared efforts. Casey Whitmarsh
