Dare to Join Us?

Get into the spooky spirit of Halloween at the Workhouse Haunt! Back for our 11th season, we’re bringing even more scares (and laughter) to our popular creepy outdoor walk-through trail. Twisted Tales of Terror will lead guests on a frightening journey that brings them along abandoned, historic buildings where they will encounter terrifying characters and sights and sounds that are not for the faint of heart.

Twisted Tales of Terror
Where Fairy Tales Turn into Nightmares

Within the moonlit landscape, where shadows dance with sinister glee, a dark carnival has risen, adorned with dreadful denizens of the freakshow, their souls as twisted as the maze of corridors they roam. Led by the enigmatic ringleader, they journeyed through the veil of night, collecting fairy tales like trophies to adorn their macabre stage. But in the ringleader's hands, these tales morphed into grotesque parodies of their former selves, where happy endings are mere illusions, and despair reigns supreme.

Hang Out at the Haunt

To keep everything moving along, guests will travel in small groups via a timed entry. While waiting for your slot — or after your trail experience — have some Halloween fun with us.

  • Enjoy a mix of popular music and Halloween favorites, from our Haunt DJ in the Rizer Pavillon on Fridays, Saturdays, and Halloween Night.

  • Grab some refreshments at the bar, including Halloween-themed alcoholic and
    non-alcoholic drinks.

  • Snack on sweet and savory food truck treats.

  • Visit the Haunt Pop-up Shop in Building 16, featuring artwork from Workhouse campus artists and other Halloween items! Fridays and Saturdays open 11 am-10 pm, Sundays noon-10 pm as well as 11 am-6 PM Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Join us as we celebrate the Military Child!

The 4th annual Salute to Service is set for Wednesday, November 13 from 6:30p-8:30p. The South Fairfax Chamber hosts the business networking event each year to highlight those who serve the community. This year we are highlighting local military-connected youth.
There are more than 1.6 million military children who face challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service. On average, military children move and change schools 6–9 times from the start of kindergarten to high school graduation. It is not uncommon for a military kid to attend 3-5 high schools alone. The challenges they face as a part of their youth helps prepare them for adversity throughout their lives.
The Chamber's Salute to Service is open to the public. It runs from 6:30p-8:30p, November 13 at Laurel Hill Golf in Lorton.
