Join us as we celebrate the Military Child! The 4th annual Salute to Service is set for Wednesday, November 13 from 6:30p-8:30p. The South Fairfax Chamber hosts the business networking event each year to highlight those who serve the community. This year we are highlighting local military-connected youth.
There are more than 1.6 million military children who face challenges and unique experiences as a result of their parents' service. On average, military children move and change schools 6–9 times from the start of kindergarten to high school graduation. It is not uncommon for a military kid to attend 3-5 high schools alone. The challenges they face as a part of their youth helps prepare them for adversity throughout their lives.
The Chamber's Salute to Service is open to the public. It runs from 6:30p-8:30p, November 13 at Laurel Hill Golf in Lorton.
