About Us

Arlington Armature was founded in 1947 as a rebuilder of Starters, Generators and Alternators for the Automotive industry in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. We now sell a complete line of Starters & Alternators for all automotive, industrial, & marine applications. We also sell Heavy Duty High Output Starters and Alternators, including being distributors for Penntex, Powerline, Arco, and Leece-Neville..

In 1986 Springfield Radiator was added, where we re-core & repair radiators for the aftermarket industry. We also sell new radiators for passenger vehicles and over the road trucks. Springfield Radiator has one of the largest inventories for Radiators in the Washington D.C. Area.

We have locations in Gaithersburg, MD and Herndon, VA. Both satellite locations are purely delivery locations for the convenience of our customers.

In our Radiator Shop we stock high quality radiators, and have one of the largest inventories in the DC area.

We stock Passenger and large industrial Radiators. We also carry condensers.

We have a full radiator shop where we have re-cored radiators from larger than 8’ x 8’ to as small as 100 square inches. We also stock a complete line of A/C products.

"Great place! Huge inventory of rebuilt units (not to mention the top notch rebuild quality). They even had a alternator in stock for a 1987 Porsche 924S at a very competitive price, even compared to mail order places. No regular local auto parts store had one, and I needed it ASAP. Plus they do alot more than alternators, including starters, A/C compressors, and radiators as well. They can also rebuild your unit on site for a reasonable fee, with only a 2-3 day turnaround time."
