Event Description
For the third year, the South Fairfax Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Commerce Carnival as part of the Lorton Spring Fling on Saturday, April 26 at South County High School. The Spring Fling is an annual outdoor event featuring family and kids activities, food trucks, entertainment, and 60+ handcraft vendors. At the Chamber booth we host a Commerce Carnival which consists of several games such as Spin the Wheel, Memory Match Card Game, Corn Hole, etc that the public can play for free. Participating chamber members supply the prizes. Essentially everyone is a winner!
Business participants donate their swag items such as branded frisbees, water bottles, mugs, umbrellas, jar openers, magnets - anything that has your business logo on it - items typically handed out at public events. They also donate money (a $50 registration fee) that goes towards the purchase of small denomination gift cards to also be used as prizes. We ask that each participating business help to man the Chamber booth for an hour or two on April 26. This is a great opportunity to network with Chamber members as well as meet members of the community. We came up with this idea in lieu of just hosting an information booth and handing these items out.
The cost for Chamber Members is $50 and Non-Members is $150.
We welcome non-members to join the Chamber and receive the lower pricing. There is no membership time requirement for member pricing however membership dues must be paid in full prior to April 20 to receive member pricing.
